West Texas Kayak Fishing is excited to start off the 2016 WTKF trail at White River Lake one week from today on March 12th. We are trying to bring you the first tournament trail aimed to accommodate kayak anglers that live out in West Texas that want to try their luck at tournament Kayak Fishing. As anybody that lives out west knows there are few lakes that are fewer than 2 hours away from home. Maybe someday we can get a posse together to go out East or Central Texas and fish in some of the bigger tournaments. However if you just want to come hang out and meet some other kayak anglers feel free to just show up.
The captains meetings and the weigh ins will be at 6:30am and 2:30pm respectively. Both captains meeting and the weigh ins will take place at the main boat ramp close to the Marina. Fees do apply so please bring appropriate funds and pay at the Marina. Please read all the rules here and make sure you have your life jacket and hawg trough at the captains meeting.
Entry fee is $30 and optional big bass is $10.
The tournament director (Clay Williamson and Cody Stewart) can be reached at email@example.com and firstname.lastname@example.org. Please email us or comment below on any questions you might have.
If your wondering if there are any fish in this lake check out this trip a few of the guys made in May 2015. Hopefully there will be some fish already on beds.
