Angler of The Year Points System

Angler of The Year Points System

The angler of the year will be determined by whoever has the most total points from their best 3 tournaments.

Each tournament will be awarded 100 points to the winner, 99 points for 2nd, 98 points for 3rd and so on. If there is a 4 way tie for 4th place all 4 anglers would get 97 points and 8th place would get 93. See below example.

1st-100
2nd-99
3rd-98
4th-97
5th-97
6th-97
7th-97
8th-93
9th-92
10th-91
11th-90
12th-80 (Did not turn in 1 score-able bass)
13th-80 (Did not turn in 1 score-able bass)
14th-80 (Did not turn in 1 score-able bass)
15th-80 (Did not turn in 1 score-able bass)

In the above example all anglers in 11th place and above would have caught at least one fish. The anglers that do turn in one score-able bass at the weigh-ins receive 10 points less than the last angler to catch a fish (12th through 15th in above example).

NOTE: Points system updated after the Oak Creek tournament on 5-21 to where attendance at weigh in does not earn you 10 more points. This was done to make weigh ins move along faster.
